A ONE OF A KIND STAY

The Holy Goat, a hospitality guesthouse in Louisville, was founded by spouses Jessi Arrington and Creighton Mershon, who first began renovating the historic 1843 church in 2016. After falling in love with the property, the couple saw an opportunity to transform the building into a unique guesthouse that blends Louisville’s rich history with a modern, inclusive design. With backgrounds as graphic designers and a love for creative challenges, Jessi and Creighton opened The Holy Goat to guests in 2019. Since then, they have welcomed visitors from across the country to experience Louisville’s vibrant cultural and dining scenes while staying in a truly one-of-a-kind space.

AN INCLUSIVE & IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

The Holy Goat strives to provide an inclusive and welcoming hospitality experience that is distinctly tied to the heart and history of Louisville. Jessi and Creighton’s mission is to create a space where people from all racial, cultural, gender, and sexual identities feel at home. With thoughtfully designed suites that incorporate historical figures and local icons, The Holy Goat offers guests an immersive Louisville experience. The guesthouse is within walking distance to NuLu’s best restaurants, nightlife, and cultural hotspots, making it a perfect stay for those wanting to explore the city.

CONNECT WITH HERITAGE & LEGENDS

The Holy Goat stands out for its bold design and deep connection to Louisville’s heritage. Each suite is stylish and filled with photographs and artifacts that celebrate Louisville’s cultural icons, from Muhammad Ali to activist Anne Braden. Guests appreciate the personalized, high-level hospitality, and the guesthouse's location in NuLu offers easy access to the city's top attractions. With six suites, including the newly opened Revival suite, The Holy Goat can host up to 22 guests, making it an ideal venue for events like weddings or retreats. In the coming years, Jessi and Creighton plan to expand accessibility in their suites and continue to provide a recharging space for the arts and activist communities to feel welcome and celebrated in Louisville.
